About Star of the South:
Star of the South is Australia’s most advanced offshore wind project, proposed to be located off the Wellington coast of Gippsland in Victoria.
Star of the South would inject gigawatts into the grid and millions into the economy to help meet energy, emissions reduction, and economic goals by supplying secure, reliable and affordable power for up to 1.2 million homes.
Star of the South is being progressed by a Victorian-based team, along with expert offshore wind developers, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners and Cbus Super.
About Mr. Charles Rattray:
Charles is the CEO of Star of the South, Australia’s most advanced offshore wind project proposed in Bass Strait, off the Gippsland coast.
In addition to leading the overall operations and strategic direction for Star of the South, Charles is responsible for growing and delivering Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ offshore wind portfolio in Australia and New Zealand.
A respected leader in the Australian energy and finance sectors, Charles’ experience spans generation development, new technology, transmission and project financing.
He is proud to be leading a team whose mission is to ‘advance the offshore wind industry in Australia, leaving a legacy of clean energy for future generations’, and to have a positive impact with the projects he’s involved in.
